I have a 2003 Hyundai Elantra and my driver side rotor actually rubs against the caliper bracket when I apply the brakes. the braking system looks the same as yours. I have a good amount of space to the left of the rotor (left if you're facing the rotor), but there's hardly any room to the right. any idea what could be causing this? even when I have the caliper removed and no brake pads, the rotor still sits too close to the caliper bracket.

Could it be that at some point the original rotor was replaced with another one that is off on its dimensions? If the passenger side's doesn't have the same issue and that rotor is the same size as the one on the driver's then something else is the issue.
