Battery Recycling: Crossed out wheeled bin symbol

Batteries, accumulators and button cells that exceed the stated limits for mercury and cadmium or that contain more than 0.004% lead must carry the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol together with the relevant chemical symbol for the metal concerned (Hg, Cd or Pb). The symbol indicating the heavy metal shall be printed beneath the wheeled bin and shall cover an area of at least 1/4 the size of that symbol
